Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania (OIP) seeks an experienced medical office professional to join our physician office support team. You will coordinate patient and physician needs, manage appointments, and ensure accurate information flow within a collaborative orthopedic practice.

Responsibilities include preparing charts, surgeries docs, and acting as a liaison among patients, families, facilities, and healthcare professionals while upholding confidentiality and high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Three years of medical office experience or successful completion of an MA or LPN program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and physiology.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the physician, medical staff, and management.
  • Take and document phone messages and communicate information to the appropriate individuals.
  • Prepare information and documentation for surgeries.
  • Prepare patient charts and necessary information for physician office hours.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, x-rays, diagnostics, surgeries, and prescriptions.

The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania (OIP) is seeking a dependable, organized, patient-focused professional to join our team in a physician office support role.

In this position, you'll work closely with an orthopedic physician and medical team to support daily practice operations, coordinate patient and physician needs, and ensure information and appointments are handled accurately and efficiently. You'll serve as an important connection between the physician, patients and families, medical facilities, and other healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do

As a member of our physician support team, you will:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the physician, medical staff, and management.
  • Take and document phone messages and ensure information is communicated to the appropriate individuals.
  • Prepare information and documentation for upcoming surgeries.
  • Prepare patient charts and necessary information for physician office hours.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, x-rays, diagnostic testing, surgeries, depositions, and prescriptions.
  • Request and coordinate information from medical facilities and other healthcare professionals.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and maintain organized files and records.
  • Serve as a liaison between the physician, patients, families, medical facilities, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Use knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and physiology to support daily responsibilities.
  • Assist with patient flow and provide support in the hallway as needed.
  • Support clinical studies and other physician-related projects.
  • Assist with transcription and other administrative responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Track continuing education and maintain required documentation.
  • Provide coverage and support for co-workers when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
