Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech in West Chester, PA is seeking a Drexel Product Development Engineer Co-op to work in the Surgeon Response Group (SRG) within R&D. The co-op focuses on developing customized medical devices based on surgeon requests and includes interactions with customers to design new instrumentation for orthopedic procedures.

You will own the project lifecycle from concept to rapid prototyping to finished goods, solving problems with a deep understanding of patient and surgeon needs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with 3.0+ GPA.
• Demonstrated leadership preferred; able to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel required.
• Strong CAD experience (Creo, SolidWorks, Pro-E) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multiple medical devices and supporting activities.
• Identify regulatory needs, develop design specs, mitigate risks.
• Own instrument design projects to release engineering for 8+ instruments.
• Learn and use Creo to produce 3D models and drawings to standards.
