Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes division invites applications for an R&D Engineering Co-Op in the Velys Power Tools group, based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The role focuses on researching, designing, testing, and evaluating electromechanical solutions for next-generation orthopedic tools.

Ideal candidates are engineering students in the junior year or above, enrolled in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Biomedical programs, with a 3.0 GPA, and available to work full-time during the internship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Biomedical or similar).
• GPA 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
• Remain actively enrolled throughout the internship and be available to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced engineers to research, design, test, and evaluate creative solutions on electro-mechanical systems and components.
• Explore and develop breakthrough features and user experiences for surgical technology.
• Assist in project execution from concept to testing and validation.
