Job summary

The Drexel Product Development Engineer Co-op will work in the Surgeon Response Group within the R&D organization in West Chester, PA. You will help develop new, customized medical devices based on surgeon requests, owning the design lifecycle from concept through rapid prototyping to release.

You will use Creo/Pro-E and other CAD tools, collaborate with surgeons, sales, and manufacturing, and contribute to DePuySynthes procedures and product development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multiple medical devices and support activities.
• Identify regulatory needs, develop specs, and manage design history files.
• Own instrument design projects and release engineering for multiple devices.
