Job summary

Orthopedic Associates of Flower Mound is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a busy orthopedic setting. You will help prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures like casting and wound care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation to ensure efficient patient flow.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with orthopedic terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit and assists with examination setup.
• Interviews patient and records medical histories; may order x-rays per order.
• Assists providers during examinations and procedures as directed.
• Maintains EMR documentation, updates patient history, and tests results.
• Schedules appointments, tests, and follow-ups; ensures smooth patient flow.
