Job summary

Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic. You will help with patient flow, room preparation, and data entry while maintaining high clinical and customer-care standards.

You will assist with procedures, take vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and help manage patient communication and workflow within the care team.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients to examination rooms to maintain efficient flow.
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and restocked after each patient.
• Collect specimens and sterilize instruments as directed.
• Assist physicians with procedures as required.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record data accurately.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
• Draw injections, administer treatments, and perform routine lab tests.
• Enter patient data into electronic systems to maintain accurate records.
• Apply and remove casts, splints, and dressings; fit orthopedic bracing.
• Instruct patients on caring for casts, splints, dressings, and DME.
• Monitor and respond to patient messages.
• Support the clinical phone line for patient inquiries.
• Perform other tasks to support clinic operations.
