Resurgens Orthopaedics in Johns Creek, GA, is seeking a Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech to support licensed providers. You will prepare patients, obtain histories, assist during examinations, and coordinate imaging, prescriptions, and DME through EMR entries.

The role requires strong communication, HIPAA knowledge, and experience in an orthopedic office. You may travel between sites if needed; a current CPR/BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with CPR/BLS.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Certified Orthopedic Tech preferred.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for visit and assists with examination setup.
• Interviews patient and records medical histories; may order x-rays.
• Assists during examinations; dressing changes, vital signs, casts/splints.
• Generates orders for prescriptions, imaging, and DME; inputs into EMR.
• Schedules follow-up appointments, tests and injections.
• Coordinates surgery scheduling and pre/postoperative care.
• Documents information in EMR and reconciles health history.
• Triages patient correspondence and advises provider plan of action.
• Maintains and sterilizes exam rooms and instruments; housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Providers, RNs, and managers.
• Prepares disability forms and inventories medical supplies.
