Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics, a premier orthopedic practice in Atlanta, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced orthopedic environment, preparing patients, assisting with casting, bracing, wound care, and maintaining EMR documentation.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, ability to manage diverse duties, and flexibility for occasional travel between sites; CPR certification and MA credential preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) or completion of an accredited MA program preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS)
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visit and assist with examinations as directed.
• May record medical histories and order X-rays per provider order.
• Assist health care providers during examinations.
• Perform dressing changes, vitals, blood draws, casts/splints, and wound care.
• Complete documentation in EMR and manage test results.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Respond to patient calls and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Maintain and sterilize exam rooms and instruments.
• Travel between multiple site locations if applicable.
