Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced orthopedic environment. Primary duties include preparing patients for examinations, assisting with cast application, wound care, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and proficiency with EMR systems. Travel between sites may be required; the position is full-time and onsite at our Atlanta clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
• Current CPR certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by directing to examination or X-ray rooms and assisting with positioning.
• Record medical histories and may order X-rays per protocol.
• Assist health care providers during examinations as directed.
• Perform dressings, vital signs, blood draws, and cast applications as needed.
• Document in EMR and update patient history within 24 hours of visit.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures; coordinate follow-ups.
