Advocate Health seeks a Medical Assistant for the Orthopedic Services clinic. You will perform rooming, vitals, history taking, and screenings, while assisting providers with procedures and lab work within CLIA-waived testing scope.

Responsibilities include meds administration, referrals, scheduling, and patient communication. Requirements include MA education and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualificações

• Medical Assistant program completion or equivalent clinical training.
• High school diploma or GED required across divisions.
• Two years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience for some divisions.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policy adherence.
• Take vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and perform lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administer medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handle referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations and patient messaging.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and participate in training of teammates.
