Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Orthopedic Surgery department in Baldwin. This full-time role supports patient care in a busy clinic, including rooming, vital signs, medication reconciliation, history taking, and health screenings.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and adherence to department policies.

Formación

• Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical practice.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab duties (venipuncture, specimen handling).
• Performs POCT and CLIA waived testing per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely and coordinates referrals.
