Job summary

Atrium Health Salisbury clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Orthopedic, Sports Medicine and Podiatry services. You will prepare patients, obtain vitals, perform basic lab tests, and assist clinicians during procedures in a fast-paced setting.

You must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold a current CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or BLS certification; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Ability to perform routine and advanced clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, and document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and other tests.
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with the care team for workflow.
• Ensure patient age-appropriate care and HIPAA compliant interactions.
