Job summary

Atrium Health's Myers Park Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy orthopedic setting. The role requires working Monday and Tuesday 8am-5pm with potential float to other days as needed.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, assisting providers, and handling laboratory tasks under CLIA guidelines. Must have a high school diploma or GED and MA program completion; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Current CMA or RMA certification may be required per Atrium Health policy.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and history.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs phlebotomy and POCT per CLIA waivers and orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of medication administration.
