Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Winston-Salem University Group Practice. The role involves patient prep, vital signs, clerical support, and assisting with procedures in orthopedics.

Requires High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assistant program completion, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of experience preferred. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and PTO, with a 40-hour workweek and 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
• 1 year experience preferred
• Strong communication and computer skills

Responsabilités

• Prepare patient for exam, obtain vital signs and document health information.
• Perform basic lab procedures and specimen collection.
• Assist physicians with procedures and administer routine medications per orders.
• Support clinic flow and coordinate referrals and appointments.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and patient confidentiality.
