Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit. The unit is a 41-bed fast-paced setting with emphasis on ortho and urology post-surgical care.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants with 1+ year commitment. Responsibilities include medication administration, IV management, and collaborating closely with RNs, PT/OT staff, and physicians.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in good standing in the state or as required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Passes medications and IV piggybacks as directed by RN.
• Charts assessments and updates care plans after RN initial assessment.
• Collaborates with physicians and APPs to coordinate dressing changes and NG/ostomy care.
