Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced LPN for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit (41 beds). This fast-paced unit collaborates with physical and occupational therapists and maintains a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants with a 1+ year commitment. Responsibilities include med passes, IV piggybacks, wound care, NG/trach care, ostomy management, and coordinating care with RNs and physicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes in a

Qualifications

• LPN certification required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education: College Diploma in Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids, excluding IV Push meds.
• Charts assessments on assigned patients after the RN's initial assessment and supports the care plan.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs to receive orders and perform dressing changes, NG/ostomy care, and discharge education.
