Job summary

OrthoIndy Hospital in Indianapolis seeks a Director of Inpatient Services to lead the Inpatient Services Department and Case Management, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations in a busy orthopedic hospital.

You will manage staffing, budgeting and two hospital locations, collaborating with clinical leaders and nursing staff to advance standards, safety and patient satisfaction in line with OrthoIndy’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• RN license required.
• 4-6 years of experience with 2-4 years of healthcare leadership experience; orthopedic nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees inpatient services and case management to assure quality patient care.
• Leads staff performance, development, and onboarding.
• Integrates departments and achieves customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintains communication with hospital departments and medical staff to resolve issues.
• Develops departmental goals aligned with corporate mission and strategy.
• Oversees orientation and continuing education programs and staff competencies.
• Develops policies and practices to support service delivery and learning organization.
• Prepares and manages department budgets and justifies expenses.
