Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Practice Assistant II for the Orthopedic Hand team at Massachusetts General Hospital. This hybrid, Monday–Friday administrative role supports patient appointments, surgical scheduling, and preoperative planning within a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of office experience preferred.
• Clinical background and Epic experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient appointments and provider schedules to support clinic operations.
• Assist with surgical scheduling, case entry, and preoperative testing coordination.
• Obtain authorizations for imaging and treatments as needed.
• Manage Epic In Basket messages and patient inquiries.
• Support patient check-in, registration, and billing processes.
