Job summary

OrthoMaryland in Westminster seeks a friendly Front Desk team member to greet visitors, prepare patients for visits, and ensure accurate information for visit and billing. As the face of the practice, you will check in/out patients, answer questions, verify insurance, collect copays, and coordinate with clinicians and staff to keep schedules and patient records up to date.

Qualifications

• Must multitask effectively with strong time management.
• Understanding of basic healthcare terminology.
• Ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out patients in a timely, friendly manner.
• Answer questions to comfort patients.
• Discuss balances and collect copayments/balances.
• Verify insurance information and coordinate with staff for payment/referral requirements.
• Keep doctors, PAs, MAs, and related staff updated on scheduling and patient details.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Process daily copayment reconciliation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
