Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year in an office, customer service or patient care role.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and explain information to patients and families.
• Proficiency with word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional patient service by obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Completes pre-certification as needed.
• Enters demographic and insurance data into the computer accurately.
• Schedules appointments and processes payments and charges following guidelines.
• Understands ICD & CPT codes.
