Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with cast and splint application/removal preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic bracing, DME billing, and safety standards is expected.
• Proficiency in fitting devices and using Epic and third‑party software is required.
• Strong communication and precise documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Fit and educate patients on orthopedic devices and DME per provider orders, ensuring proper sizing and usage.
• Apply and remove casts and splints as directed by providers and maintain cast room readiness.
• Use Epic and MotionMD to verify benefits, pre-authorizations, and collect patient financial responsibilities.
• Document all services and payer forms to ensure compliant billing and regulations.
• Support inventory management and report equipment issues to leadership.
• Build collaborative relationships with patients, providers, staff, vendors and suppliers for high-quality care.
• Ensure timely documentation aligned with standards.
• Perform additional duties to support efficient orthopedic and DME services.
