Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited program with license (LPN, RN, ATC, Orthopedic RSA).
• Current license in the applicable state of engagement.
• Minimum 3 years of orthopedic experience is preferred.
• Experience with casting and splinting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness for patient visits.
• Fit and educate patients on orthopedic DME usage (braces, walkers, boots, supports).
• Maintain inventory, reorder supplies, and monitor costs.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and within the Trinity system.
• Document DME dispensed in the patient record and verify insurance coverage.
• Coordinate with billing for accurate coding and quarterly audits.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare and third-party payer regulations.
• Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, and braces under physician direction.
• Educate patients on cast care, precautions, and follow-up.
• Monitor complications and ensure hygienic practices.
