Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Dur able Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator to oversee the daily program operations at our outpatient orthopedic clinics. You will manage DME inventory, fittings, patient education, documentation, and billing with a focus on quality service.

The role requires DME experience and familiarity with medical terminology, in a fast-paced setting, with involvement in prior authorizations. Join a team dedicated to patient-centered care and efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• DME experience preferred.
• One to three years of experience in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• One to three years of experience in prior authorizations, particularly in DME or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite management of the Durable Medical Equipment program for the outpatient clinic.
• Manages ordering, documentation, and data entry of DME and related supplies.
• Maintains inventory of orthopedic DME and ensures proper on-site patient education.
• Handles DME precertification and preauthorization requests with accuracy.
• Assists in insurance billing documentation for DME and educates staff on policies.
