Job summary

OrthoCarolina in Belmont, NC is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to join our orthopedic care team. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, you will provide and coordinate patient care, perform routine office procedures, and support physicians and mid-level providers.

Responsibilities include updating notes in EPIC EMR, assisting with casting and bracing, patient education, triage by phone, and managing in-office duties such as equipment sterilization and supply ordering.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing.
• Experience plus certification is acceptable.
• CMA/RMA or EMT/ATC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Update clinical notes in the EHR system (EPIC).
• Perform routine office procedures including casting and bracing.
• Provide patient education and coordinate care with the physician/ mid-level provider.
• Triage patient calls and document histories, vitals, medications and allergies.
• Greet patients, assist with examinations, injections, and maintain sterile rooms.
