Job summary

OrthoCarolina in Hickory, NC is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to support orthopedic care team from 8a–5p, Monday–Friday. You will perform routine office procedures, coordinate patient care, and educate patients under physician guidance.

The role requires strong communication, accurate documentation in EPIC, and the ability to triage calls and manage patient flow. You will collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers, contribute to casting/bracing, and help with patient education

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, nursing or a college degree in a related field
• CMA/RMA certification or eligibility
• EMTs require EMT certification
• ATCs require board certification as Athletic Trainer
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Travel to other OC locations may be required

Responsibilities

• Update clinical notes in electronic medical records (EPIC)
• Complete phone triage
• Casting and bracing
• Perform routine office procedures
• Provide patient education
• Coordinate care with physicians and mid-level providers
• Educate patients using booklets and instructions prior to minor procedures
• Handle administrative duties like ordering supplies and responding to messages
