Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Orthopedic Medical Assistant - Lead to supervise and support Orthopedic Medical Assistants in our ambulatory setting. You will schedule, train, and coach staff while assisting physicians and patients during visits.

The role focuses on accurate charting, patient education, and delivering excellent customer service. You will participate in minor procedures, assist with immobilization devices, and help maintain inventories and office operations to ensure efficient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Orthopedic Technologists staff including interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, coaching and performance reviews.
• Assist with payroll, continuing education, weekly schedules, and other employee records per standards.
• Act as point of contact for department staff in your designated office to ensure coverage and smooth operations.
• Order supplies and maintain inventories across offices/rooms.
• Lead Orthopedic Technologist staff in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist Orthopedic Physician/PA/NPs with fracture reduction, casting, and related patient care; educate patients.
• Obtain vitals and document in medical records; triage and prepare patients for smooth flow; assist with activities of daily living.
• Prepare equipment for minor procedures and assist providers; remove sutures/staples and dressings; dispose of waste.
• Maintain professional rapport with patients per iCare standards.
