Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD seeks an Orthopedic Medical Assistant to support physicians and PAs in an ambulatory setting. You will room patients, educate them, assist with minor procedures, cast/splint, and document health information accurately.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, customer service experience, and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. CPR certification is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent training.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Orthopedic Physician/PA with fracture reduction, casting and immobilization.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and health history in the chart.
• Prepare equipment for minor procedures and assist with wound care and dressing changes.
• Maintain supplies and ensure a professional patient experience per iCare framework.
