Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Orthopedic Medical Assistant to support physicians and PAs in an ambulatory setting. The role involves rooming patients, educating them, and assisting during visits, with responsibilities for minor procedures, casting, sutures, and applying bandages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or documentation of graduation from an accredited training program preferred.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Orthopedic Physician/PA with fracture reduction, casting/splinting, and immobilizer application; educate and instruct patients.
• Take and document vital signs; record health history and organize patient flow with accuracy.
• Prepare equipment for minor procedures; remove sutures/staples; apply/remove dressings; dispose of medical waste.
• Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies and order items as needed.
• Uphold professional standards and iCare service excellence in patient interactions.
