Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. in Bowie, MD is seeking an Orthopedic Medical Assistant for an ambulatory setting. You will assist physicians and PAs, room patients, educate them, and help with minor procedures, casts, splints, and suture removal while maintaining smooth patient flow.

You will document vitals and medical history, coordinate care with the team, and uphold service standards. A high school diploma or GED and CPR certification are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or completion of an accredited training program preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and educate during visits, assist with minor procedures.
• Assist with fracture reduction, casting/splinting, and suture/staple removal.
• Obtain vitals and document health history in the medical record.
• Prepare equipment, manage supplies and maintain patient flow.
