Novant Health Hilton Head Orthopedics is seeking a skilled Orthopedic (Casting) Technician to fabricate, fit, and modify orthotics and casts for patients. You will take precise measurements and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure comfort, safety, and proper alignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an orthotics or casting technician training program preferred.
• Prior experience in orthopedic/casting field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, and fit orthotics and casts per physician orders.
• Educate patients on use and care of devices and casts.
• Assist with casting procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Take precise measurements for correct sizing and fit.
• Make adjustments to casts and orthotics for optimal fit.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records of measurements and procedures.
• Help manage inventory of materials for orthotic/casting procedures.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on device care and precautions.
• Follow safety, infection control, and industry standards.
