Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and traction devices under the direction of orthopedic providers.
• Monitor patients for changes in skin integrity and communicate concerns promptly.
• Educate patients and families on cast care, splints, traction, and halo device care plans.
• Assist patient mobility with Hoyer lifts and coordinate safe transport across care areas.
• Maintain cast room cleanliness, organization, and infection control compliance.
