Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Athletic Trainer for the Summit Hospital Orthopedics department. This full‑time position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no holidays or weekends.

You will assess injuries, plan care, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and staff. Requirements include B.S. in athletic training and BOC certification; licensure/eligibility, and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with patients and team.
• Ability to understand and explain medical terminology in plain language.
• Initiate problem solving and conflict resolution to foster good working relationships.

Responsabilités

• Performs injury assessments and triages care; communicates with patients and medical team.
• Creates and monitors a plan of care; documents progress and adjusts as needed.
• Supports diverse patient populations and provides home exercise instructions.
• Completes after-visit summaries, teaching, and referrals as appropriate.
• Performs patient positioning and lifting with proper technique; ensures safety.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care knowledge and documenation per policy.
