Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a PRN Athletic Trainer to support community event coverages, schools, tournaments, and youth athletic teams. This part‑time role requires a current BOC certification and licensure eligibility within 30 days of hire.

You will assess injuries, educate patients on self‑care, develop and adjust treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver safe, effective sports medicine care.

Qualifications

• Current Athletic Training certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
• Licensed or eligible for Athletic Trainer license in the practicing state within 30 days of hire.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) CPR/AED certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of injuries and refer patients to appropriate services.
• Provide clear communication to patients regarding self-care, prevention, and treatment techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment to ensure effective outcomes.
• Direct athletes in performance enhancement programs for fitness or injury prevention.
• Complete documentation including assessments, progress notes, and billing records, ensuring insurance compliance.
