Job summary

Summit Orthopedics in Minnesota is seeking an Athletic Trainer to deliver clinical support within orthopedic care. You will collaborate with physicians and APPs and engage with local high school and community partners to enrich patient outcomes.

This full-time float position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with varying hours, and requires flexibility to cover multiple Summit locations as needed across the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota region.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support is required.
• Masters preferred; Bachelors required for AT.
• Certification as Athletic Trainer (ATC) and licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain health histories, and perform initial and secondary assessments.
• Document patient information in the medical record and complete forms for patients/employers/insurers.
• Assess postoperative wounds and provide wound care instructions.
• Provide patient education verbally or in writing.
• Act as liaison between patient/family and physician; support clinical staff with orthopedic questions.
• Travel to Summit outreach locations and events as assigned.
