Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-Time Athletic Trainer to split time between the Manitowoc clinic and high school outreach coverage. You will treat patients, educate on self-care, and implement individualized plans in a collaborative sports medicine team.

The position requires a CAATE degree, BOC certification, state license eligibility within 30 days, and AHA BLS within 30 days. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from a CAATE-accredited program.
• Certified by the BOC; eligible for Athletic Trainer license within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work on a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess injuries and refer patients to appropriate services.
• Communicate self-care, prevention, and treatment plans to patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Direct athletes in performance enhancement programs for fitness or injury prevention.
• Plan and facilitate discharge with home care instructions and referrals.
• Maintain documentation per department policies and billing requirements.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of services.
