Job description

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their assigned territory. They must establish, build, and maintain customer relationships through communication and in-person appointments. The role requires expert knowledge of our product portfolio and involves consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives in the territory, working with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  2. Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement sales strategies.
  3. Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, changes, and educational programs.
  4. Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to meet/exceed objectives.
  5. Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
  6. Address account problems promptly.
  7. Maintain compliance, confidentiality, and adhere to laws and company policies.
  8. Receive coaching and training; share knowledge with peers.
  9. Maintain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
  10. Gather competitive data and stay informed on industry trends.
  11. Participate in sales and professional meetings outside regular hours.
  12. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years in orthopedic or related fields; sports experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols.
  • Ability to learn technical information related to surgery.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Training:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to develop effective business plans.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Sense of urgency; ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-confidence and competitive drive.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly.
  • Adherence to compliance and conduct policies.

  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation.
