UNC Health in Raleigh, NC invites you to join the 6 West Orthopedic Unit at UNC Rex Hospital as a Registered Nurse. This full-time, night-shift role provides comprehensive patient care on a fast-paced, high-performing team focused on post-surgical orthopedics.

The position is on-site, with a 36-hour work week and a salary range of $34.22–$48.38 per hour. Qualified applicants will join an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, case managers, and pharmacists, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Education - participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in plan of care evaluation.
• Implementation - provides care for patients with complex problems and coordinates timely care with the team.
• Leadership - supports unit goals, promotes cost-effective care, and communicates effectively.
• Patient Assessment - assesses data and priorities for care, supports discharge planning.
• Planning - collaborates with patient/family to plan care, uses multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - reads journals and brings ideas to the team for assessment.
