Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking an Orthopaedic Technician Trainee to participate in on-the-job training across ambulatory clinics, operating rooms, inpatient, and ER settings. • One (1) year of previous health care related experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology class must be taken in first year.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check in, prepare patient, room, and equipment for procedures.
• Record vital signs and inform provider of any concerns.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and aseptic techniques.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate procedures with staff.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care.
• Assist physician during minor procedures and dressings.
• Support site-wide committees and meetings as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication throughout shifts.
