Qualifications

• One (1) year of previous health care related experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology class must be taken in first year.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, checks in, and notifies provider.
• Prepare patient, room and equipment; take and record vital signs.
• Recognize emergencies and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Handle phone calls, schedule appointments with medical professionals.
• Instruct patients in prep for procedures.
• Assist in minor procedures and wound care; remove casts/braces.
• Educate patients on cast, splint, wound care and pre-surgical care.
• Participate in site-wide committees and trainings.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as required.
