CHOICE Healthcare Services is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant/Records Clerk in the San Bernardino area. The role offers hands-on dental assistance, patient interaction and charting under a comprehensive training program.

The position emphasizes infection control, X-ray processing, and administrative support to ensure efficient patient care and documentation in a pediatric-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience.
• X-Ray certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 8-hour Infection Control certification required.
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in all chairside procedures.
• Take X-rays and process diagnostic images.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients.
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and understand their procedures.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes and charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment areas, instruments and equipment.
• Support sterilization protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Take impressions for study models and appliances.
• Provide suctioning and isolation during procedures.
• Handle instrument sterilization and inventory management.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA and infection control protocols.
• Track and manage inventory and supply restocking.
• Assist the front office with scheduling and patient inquiries.

Summary: The Dental Assistant provides direct support to the dentist by preparing treatment areas, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a sterile and organized environment. The role also involves patient interaction, charting, and adherence to infection control standards to deliver quality dental care.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 hour (Based on experience)
