Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our orthodontic team and patients throughout treatment. You will work closely with the Orthodontist, assist with procedures, take impressions and x-rays, and help educate patients on post-treatment care.

We require an active Registered Dental Assistant license, current CPR certification, and at least 1 year of orthodontic experience. Travel within assigned areas may be needed as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Assist Orthodontist with procedures and chairside support.
• Untie/ tie arch wires; bend/ place arch wires.
• Prepare for bonding and take impressions.
• Take x-rays, develop radiographs and photos.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care.
• Coordinate follow-ups and patient communication.
• Assist with inventory and clinical readiness.
