Passion Dental is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will work closely with the orthodontic team to deliver excellent patient care in a welcoming and professional environment.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced practice. You will assist with procedures, radiographs, and patient education while maintaining safety and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification/licensure as required by state regulations.
• Current radiology certification if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatment procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
• Take and process digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and scans as permitted by state regulations.
• Place and remove orthodontic appliances, archwires, ligatures, and other materials as directed by the orthodontist.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols.
• Provide outstanding customer service and help create a positive patient experience.
• Support office operations and collaborate with team members to achieve practice goals.
