Job summary

Smile Horizon Orthodontics in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to support doctors and staff, manage the patient experience, and ensure efficient chair-side care. You will take radiographs, assist with impressions, and help maintain a clean, organized treatment area.

The ideal candidate holds an active dental license or registration, has 2+ years of orthodontic assisting experience, and communicates clearly with patients and team members.

Qualifications

  • Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant, as required by your state.
  • 2+ years of experience as an orthodontic assistant.
  • Completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
  • Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions.
  • Punctual, professional, and a strong team player.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
