Job summary

Heartland Dental-supported LWSS Family Dentistry Suffolk in Suffolk, VA is hiring a full-time experienced Dental Assistant to support a nine-person team using state-of-the-art technology and a patient-first approach.

You’ll enjoy a 4-day work week, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with no nights or weekends, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for quarterly bonuses, training, and continuing education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; dental assistant permit and X-ray credentials.
• Minimum 1 year dental assistant experience.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience; MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping; maintain safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supply and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
