Job summary

Bayberry Dental in Lithia, FL is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a nine-person team committed to collaborative care and patient-focused service. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays with iTero, and provide four-handed chairside support during a variety of procedures.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping with Dentrix, and active participation in ongoing education and training within a Heartland Dental supported network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, educate during treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
