BOND MANAGEMENT PARTNERS LLC is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant in Ogden, UT to support the orthodontist in procedures, patient prep, and recordkeeping. You will sterilize instruments, assist with aligners and retainers, and help manage inventory while ensuring infection control.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of ortho experience, a patient-focused attitude, and strong teamwork and communication skills for a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during procedures including braces installation, wire adjustments, and aligner placement.
  • Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment.
  • Fabricate and fit orthodontic appliances such as retainers and space maintainers.
  • Remove braces, wires, and bands as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques specific to orthodontic care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in each operatory.
  • Prepare tray setups for orthodontic procedures and ensure proper supply management.
  • Instruct patients on general oral health care, as directed by the orthodontist.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements.
  • Record patient charting and update records as needed.
  • Take digital x-rays for treatment assessment.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the orthodontic supply inventory.
  • Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and maintain required certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The primary role of the Orthodontic Dental Assistant is to assist the Orthodontist in the overall delivery of oral care and work independently to provide an exceptional patient experience. Orthodontic Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Orthodontic Dental Assistants prepare patients for oral examination and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
