We are working to create THE BEST DENTAL OFFICE TO WORK FOR in the greater Chattanooga area.

We are seeking high performers with the BEST ATTITUDES! The Clinical Assistant performs all clinical assistant operations while maintaining a successful work relationship with the doctor, dental/ office team and patients by providing excellent customer service.

Clinical Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients in waiting area and escort them to the operatory
2. Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures
3. Prepare for procedures by organizing instruments and equipment
4. Prepare teeth for final bonding of brackets by the doctor
5. Remove orthodontic appliances and/or brackets as prescribed by the doctor
6. Remove ligatures and wires from brackets
7. Fit orthodontic bands
8. Take x-rays as prescribed
9. Take alginate impressions as prescribed
10. Pour, trim, and polish impression casts
11. Record treatment rendered in the patient’s chart and charge out all procedures
12. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control
13. Handle hazardous chemicals in a safe manner
14. Participate in cleaning duties assigned to clinical assistants and as needed
15. Ensure proper clinical supply levels
16. Treat patients, visitors, and co-workers with respect and courtesy
17. Communicate with the patients and parents effectively
18. Participate in teamwork
19. Communicate in a courteous and professional manner
20. Proactively and continuously improve conflict resolution skills and problem solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient complaint
21. Be organized, motivated, committed, and self-directed
22. Demonstrate ability to use assigned computer software and other equipment
23. Complete annual education and/or licensing requirements if applicable
24. Maintain dependable job attendance
25. Adhere to all safety and infection control rules
26. Use appropriate safety equipment
27. Comply with OSHA and HIPPA guidelines and maintain confidential information
28. Proactively look for things that need to be done or improved, and take action towards doing so or bringing to the attention of management
