Job summary

Birmingham Orthodontics, part of the Rock Dental Brands family, is seeking a skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our patient‑focused practice in Alabama. If you have orthodontic or dental assisting experience and a passion for helping others, we’d love to meet you!

You’ll partner with the orthodontist during exams and treatments, prepare operatories, assist with wires, bands and retainers, take digital scans, and educate patients on treatment plans and appliance care.

Qualifications

• Must have some Orthodontic Assistant experience.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, tools, and terminology.
• Positive, patient-first attitude and strong communication skills.
• A desire to learn, grow, and be part of a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Orthodontist during exams and treatments to ensure each patient receives top-notch care.
• Prepare and maintain operatories and equipment — keeping things organized, clean, and ready to go.
• Assist with orthodontic procedures such as placing/removing wires, bands, and retainers.
• Take digital scans and help fabricate custom appliances and retainers.
• Educate and support patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
• Keep accurate treatment notes and collaborate with your teammates to deliver amazing results.
