Job summary

Kids Dental Place in Glendale, CA, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and offers a generous pay range with monthly bonus opportunities, PTO and paid holidays, and solid benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401K plan.

The role emphasizes chair-side orthodontic support, accurate medical history documentation in EHR, teamwork to ensure exceptional patient

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus.
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families.
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Pay range: $24-$31/hr ($750 Sign on Bonus)

Physical Requirements

This position requires full range of body motion. Work Environment

Work is performed in a standard clinical environment. This role routinely utilizes standard dental equipment.
