Job summary

Charleston Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You will assist in placing and removing appliances, review patient charts, and manage remote monitoring duties under supervision of the Orthodontist.

We value building rapport with patients and supporting a people-first culture. Eligible candidates may have dental/orthodontic experience, plus state-required certifications such as radiography and CPR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Dental/orthodontic industry experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Review patient charts, log data and transcribe doctor notes.
• Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient scans and messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory following standard protocols.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
